Eric Lutes

Eric Lutes is recognized by teenage girls (and younger) as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s father in two movies (Switching Goals & So Little Time), and recognized by their mothers as the co-star of the popular TV series Caroline in the City in which he played “Del Cassidy”. In The 12 Dogs of Christmas he plays the musically hapless but heroic “Coach Cullimore”, out of his depth when it comes to school Christmas pageants, but a very likely romantic interest for “Cathy Stevens”. Lutes was born in Rhode Island where he caught the acting bug the summer before college when friends encouraged him to audition for a community production of “Pajama Game”. He landed the role and was hooked. Lutes earned a BFA in acting from the University of Rhode Island. After several commercial spots, Lutes moved to New York and appeared in many off-Broadway productions before finally making the move to Los Angeles where he landed his series regular role on Caroline in the City. He met his wife, Christine Romeo Lutes, when they were cast as husband and wife in a bank commercial. They currently reside in Los Angeles and are the proud parents of Abigail Grace, who was born in May 1998.
